The Story
This novel is set in the Albuquerque/Santa Fe area in the not-too-distant future. The world is totally addicted to and dependent on technology for everyday living. A worldwide government exists, fashioned after that of the former United States (now America). Suddenly, without warning, New Mexico is plunged into actual and fugurative darkness when all technology fails. Is this a localized event or could it be a worldwide phenomenon? No one knows!
Dr. Joshua Redcliff, Director of a prestigious world agency, battles the effects of technology failure. He and his companions struggle to find a way to jump start the engine of survival. The stakes are high and the task seems impossible until the ramblings of an old Indian woman and the contents of a mysterious book bring hope. As Joshua and his small group search for answers, they grapple with ruthless antagonists who would snatch the solutions for their own gain and the power to dominate society.
