$2.88The Story
Juniper is perfectly happy working as a maid at the royal palace. She has friends, a steady income, access to books, and her very own Prince Charming. She might have had bigger dreams when she was younger, but her chronic pain brought those to a crashing halt. She has learned to be content with her life.
That is, until her Prince Charming turns out to be just another disappointing straight man. Heartbroken, Juniper flees the palace to settle for a life back on her family’s farm. She never expected that on the journey there, a perfect alternative would swoop out of the sky and land right at her feet.
The great and terrible (at least according to him) dragon, Salvatore, offers her a job as his official biographer. Juniper seizes on the chance to delay her return to farm life. She is surprised to find that the terrifying dragon is, in fact, just a grump who only cares about books, his cats, and getting his massive pile of cushions just right.
Neither of them expected to find a friendship that could shake a kingdom and heal two broken hearts. This is a story of healing, finding community, the love of books, and most of all the power of having a friend to sit with you through the hardest parts of life.
